Cottage Grove announces Strawberry Fest and new events lineup for summer and fall

Strawberry Fest is just around the corner, set to run from June 19 to June 22, and this year, the Cottage Grove Convention and Visitors Bureau is launching an exciting "bring a friend" initiative. This campaign encourages residents to invite friends from outside the community to join in on this cherished local tradition.

Discover Cottage Grove will have a booth at the Strawberry Fields marketplace, featuring special guest Eric Dowdle, who will be signing puzzles and meeting attendees. The event will also showcase 40 entries from a coloring contest, with finalists receiving certificates. Attendees can look forward to fun giveaways, including drawstring bags, visitor guides, and beach balls.

Looking ahead, the third annual Food Truck Festival is scheduled for September 13, running from 11 AM to 6 PM. This year’s festival will celebrate one year of having the puzzle, with sales and more giveaways planned. Details about the food truck lineup and entertainment will be shared at the August board meeting.

Additionally, Cottage Grove will host its inaugural Patio Week from July 13 to July 19, highlighting local restaurants with a featured patio each day. Other upcoming events include the Fourth of July fireworks on July 6 at Kingston Park and the Hometown Holiday event on December 4.

With a packed calendar of community events, Cottage Grove is gearing up for a vibrant summer filled with activities that bring residents and visitors together.
