Geneva City Council approves Venture 1 industrial headquarters with $250K fee reduction

Geneva City Council has taken a significant step towards economic growth by approving an economic incentive agreement for Venture 1, a new industrial development project. During the City Council meeting on June 2, 2025, council members unanimously supported the plan, which includes a 55-acre parcel located east of Kirk Road. This site will serve as the corporate headquarters for a well-established, family-owned company recognized for its high-quality design and services.

The approved project is expected to create over 150 jobs, combining office, manufacturing, and warehousing functions. Construction is set to begin in early summer 2025, with the company aiming to occupy the facility within a year. The development will also be LEED certified, reflecting a commitment to sustainability.

To facilitate this project, the city will provide a reduction of approximately $250,000 in city fees, mirroring previous incentives given to other developers. This financial assistance is designed to make the project competitive and attractive to the tenant. The new facility is anticipated to generate significant property tax revenue and contribute to local utility funds, enhancing the city’s economic landscape.

In addition to the economic benefits, the project will lead to infrastructure improvements, including the construction of Dawn Boulevard and signalization at Kirk Road, which will further support the community's growth.
