LA City Council reviews eminent domain proceedings for LAX modernization project

During the Los Angeles City Council meeting on June 4, 2025, a significant discussion centered on the proposed eminent domain proceedings related to the LAX Airfield and Terminal Modernization Project. Another representative, Adam Sigler, voiced objections to the resolution of necessity, claiming that the city had not adequately explored alternatives before committing to the taking. He suggested deferring the resolution until further negotiations could take place.
