Aurora City hosts Pride events including flag raising and parade this weekend

The City Council of Aurora held a meeting on June 3, 2025, where officials outlined an exciting weekend of events aimed at fostering community engagement and celebrating diversity. On Saturday, the city will celebrate the opening of its historic farmer's market, which is the oldest in Illinois, running from 8 AM to 12 PM at 65 South Water Street. The market will offer local vendors, live music, and family-friendly activities, creating a vibrant atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. Additionally, the Family Counseling Service will host a Family Fest at Wilder Park and Promenade from 12 PM to 5 PM, providing further opportunities for community engagement.
