Pawtucket Council approves multiple entertainment license expansions for summer events

In a lively session at Pawtucket City Hall, the City Council convened on June 5, 2025, to discuss several exciting entertainment expansions that promise to bring community spirit and vibrancy to the city. One of the highlights was the approval of a one-day entertainment expansion for Pico's Restaurant and Hookah Lounge. Set for June 28, the venue will host a concert in its parking lot, allowing attendees to enjoy food and beverages from 5 PM to 10 PM, with music wrapping up by 9 PM. A rain date has been established for the following day, ensuring that the festivities can continue regardless of the weather.

The council also greenlit a similar request from PCC Ventures for Rock's annual summer party, scheduled for the same day. This event will take place outdoors at 451 Prospect Street from 2 PM to 8 PM. Council members expressed their support, noting the event's longstanding tradition and positive reception from the neighborhood, which has fostered a sense of community over the years.

Another significant discussion centered around the Saint Anthony Feast, organized by the Saint Anthony's Church Corporation. This three-day event, taking place from June 13 to June 15, will feature both indoor and outdoor activities, including food and entertainment. Lastly, the Club Social Portuguese received approval for its annual outdoor picnic feast on August 3, 2025. This event will also feature food and beverages, further enriching the community's summer activities.
