Riverwoods Village plans antique car show and yoga events this summer

The Village of Riverwoods held a Board of Trustees meeting on June 3, 2025, where several community events and initiatives were discussed. Among the highlights was the upcoming Antique and Classic Car Show, scheduled for June 14, which aims to bring residents together for a day of fun and nostalgia.

In addition to the car show, the village is launching a new wellness initiative called "Yoga in the Woods," inspired by former trustee Ticken. The first session is set for the following morning at 7 AM, contingent on favorable weather conditions. This program is part of a broader effort to promote community health and engagement.

The meeting also touched on various community activities, including a game day event and the Riverwoods Resident Day, both taking place on July 19. Additionally, a community garage sale is planned for the same day, encouraging residents to participate and connect with one another.

The village is also focusing on environmental initiatives, with ongoing plant sales featuring native plants and seed mixes, as highlighted in recent e-newsletters. Furthermore, the Project Evaluation Committee, which was approved in a previous meeting, is working on updates to the village website. This includes a new submission form designed to streamline communication and feedback from residents.
