Village Board approves $65K contract for 2025 road program with Chicagoland Paving

Witt highlighted the need for crack control, seal coating, and restriping of accessible parking stalls to meet code requirements.

Two bids were received for the project, with Chicagoland Paving Contractors being the lowest bidder. An alternate bid for sidewalk and curb replacement was not accepted due to its high cost, prompting the board to seek a different contractor for that specific work. Trustee Graff raised questions about the differences between the base bid and the alternate bid, seeking clarification on the allocation of costs.

The meeting concluded with a consensus on the importance of the road program and the sustainability initiatives, with plans for further discussions and follow-up actions in the coming weeks.
