The Laguna Beach Planning Commission has approved a sign permit for Bridal Brew, a new establishment located at 188 South Coast Highway, during their meeting on June 5, 2025. This decision allows the business to install a prominent wall sign and two suspended signs, enhancing its visibility in the downtown area.
Bridal Brew, part of the Board and Brew franchise, is set to distinguish itself with unique interior finishes and signage that differ from other locations. This commitment has led the city to determine that the business does not fall under the formula-based business criteria, thus streamlining the approval process by eliminating the need for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP).

City staff have confirmed that the proposed signage aligns with the Laguna Beach Municipal Code and the downtown specific plan. The commission's approval also noted that existing exterior lighting will remain to illuminate the signs, although no new lighting is being added.
The meeting included discussions among commissioners regarding the specifics of the signage and its compliance with regulations, reflecting a thorough review process. The approval marks a significant step for Bridal Brew as it prepares to open its doors to the community, contributing to the vibrant commercial landscape of Laguna Beach.
