County adopts grant for battery project saving $600,000 in energy costs

Buncombe County is set to make significant strides in sustainability and cost savings following the approval of a grant aimed at enhancing energy efficiency. During the recent Board of Commissioners meeting, officials announced the adoption of a grant that will fund the installation of battery systems, projected to save the county over $500,000 throughout the project's lifespan.
