Wasatch Integrated Waste outlines new recycling schedule and guidelines for residents

Recycling pickup in Morgan County is set to follow a new schedule, with residents urged to check the county website for their designated weeks. During the recent County Commission meeting, officials clarified that recycling will be collected every other week, aligning with residents' regular trash pickup days. For example, if your trash is picked up on Tuesday, your recycling will also be collected on that day every other week.

Commissioners emphasized the importance of proper recycling practices, reminding residents that each recycling can comes with stickers detailing what materials can be accepted. Common recyclables such as plastics, papers, and cardboard are welcome, while items like hay twine should be avoided as they can clog sorting machines.

The county's sorting center in Layton will handle the collected materials, ensuring they are processed and sold as recycled goods.
