Superintendent Hardesty celebrates successful school year and graduation events

The Cabell Schools Board Meeting held on June 3, 2025, highlighted the successful conclusion of the school year and set the stage for upcoming summer programs. Superintendent Mr. Hardesty expressed gratitude for the hard work of all staff members, including maintenance workers, cooks, custodians, and teachers, emphasizing their dedication and excellence.

During the meeting, Mr. Hardesty reflected on the recent graduation ceremonies for Cabell Midland High School and Huntington High School, wishing the graduating seniors well as they embark on new adventures. He acknowledged the efforts of the staff throughout the year, noting that the school year concluded for students last Wednesday, with 200-day employees wrapping up their duties the following day.

In addition to celebrating the past year, Mr. Hardesty shared that professional development sessions for staff have been ongoing since the students' departure. These sessions focused on standards-based instruction, vertical alignment within schools, and a multi-tiered system of support, which are crucial for enhancing educational quality.
