Benicia High honors Avery, Mikayla, Maya, Spencer, Parker, Bella, and Emilio for excellence

The Benicia High School Class of 2025 Graduation Ceremony, held on June 7, 2025, celebrated the achievements of students across various disciplines, highlighting their dedication and contributions to the school community.

The ceremony commenced with recognition of outstanding students in the performing arts. Avery, noted for his exceptional skills on both the oboe and flute, was acknowledged as the band’s woodwind specialist. His leadership as the clarinet section representative and his role as the lead alto player in the jazz band were particularly emphasized, showcasing his commitment to musical excellence.

In dance, Mikayla Herron and Maya Sahota received accolades for their leadership and talent. Their dedication to the dance department and their involvement in organizing a surprise performance at the step-down rally were highlighted, reflecting their significant impact on the program.

The theater arts segment honored Spencer Reynolds and Parker Sowers, both of whom demonstrated remarkable commitment throughout their high school years. Spencer was recognized for his multifaceted contributions, including acting, stage management, and leadership within the improv team. Parker, also a dedicated theater student, participated in every production during his four years, showcasing his talent and emotional depth in performances.

Additionally, the Excellence in Service Award was presented to Bella Cannon and Emilio Scott for their outstanding contributions to the school and community. Bella's extensive resume of service and accomplishments at Benicia High School was noted, underscoring her positive influence on campus.
