Following Shayla's acknowledgment, the commission honored Ben Harris, who will be inducted into the 2025 class of the National High School Football Hall of Fame. The resolution commended Harris for his significant contributions to high school football in Alabama, particularly during his tenure at Blunt High School, where he led the team to four state championships and eight regional titles. His coaching philosophy emphasized character development and community impact, earning him accolades such as Mobile County Citizen of the Year in 1996.
