District U-46 celebrates music education award and recognizes All State Music Festival winners

The Elgin U-46 School District held a meeting on June 9, 2025, to celebrate significant achievements in music education and recognize outstanding students. The meeting began with the announcement that U-46 has been designated as a "Best Community for Music Education" by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation. This honor highlights the district's commitment to providing quality music education, with Fine Arts Coordinator Jamie Giraldo being acknowledged for her contributions to this achievement.

Following this recognition, the meeting transitioned to honoring students who participated in the Illinois Music Educators Association's All-State Music Festival for 2025. Students were invited to gather in an organized manner by high school for their recognition.
