Akron City Council transfers property to Let's Grow Akron for community garden

The Akron City Council took a significant step towards community enhancement during its recent meeting by approving an ordinance to transfer city-owned property to Let's Grow Akron. This decision, made on June 9, 2025, allows the continuation of a community garden in the Summit Lake neighborhood, a project that has thrived for over a decade.

The property in question, located at the intersection of Edison Avenue and Long Street, has been a vital part of the community's landscape, providing residents with a space for gardening and community engagement.
