Upland Fire Department initiates engine inspections in high fire hazard zones

The City of Upland is taking proactive steps to enhance fire safety in high-risk areas following a recent city council meeting on June 9, 2025. The council approved a new initiative led by the fire department to conduct engine company inspections in designated fire hazard severity zones. This program aims to educate residents on fire safety measures and provide tailored recommendations for improving home safety.

Fire Chief Kyle announced that inspections will focus on properties in the red, orange, and yellow zones, with mailers sent to homeowners in the latter two categories. Residents can also schedule personal inspections with local firefighters to receive specific advice on fire prevention.
