Public Works Department praised for successful spring cleanup in city

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over Grand Forks, city officials gathered in the familiar setting of city hall to reflect on recent accomplishments and community events. The atmosphere buzzed with gratitude as city leaders expressed their appreciation for the hard work of the public works department, particularly highlighting the success of the recent spring cleanup initiative.

In a remarkable display of community engagement, the cleanup event saw over 82,000 pounds of waste hauled to the landfill, alongside an impressive 1,564,000 pounds collected from the roadside. This effort, which equates to a staggering 782 tons, underscores the city's commitment to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
