The Culpeper County School Board convened on November 11, 2024, to discuss various agenda items, beginning with the approval of the meeting agenda. The board unanimously approved the agenda without any changes.

Ms. Hutchins represented the board in honoring students from Eastern View High School who received National AP Scholar Awards for their outstanding performance on the 2024 Advanced Placement exams. Principal Dr. Bop highlighted the achievements of three students: Jaden Newbel, who earned the AP Scholar designation, and Amelia Hoover and Peter Nunnick, who received the AP Scholar with Distinction award. Both Hoover and Nunnick were also recognized as commended students in the National Merit Scholarship Program for their exceptional PSAT scores.

Next, the board celebrated Culpeper County Public Schools' receipt of the inaugural Business Education Partnership Award from the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce. This award acknowledges the school district's commitment to fostering partnerships that enhance student learning and career readiness. The Chamber praised the district for its dedication to community support and impactful educational experiences.

The meeting continued with recognition of the Chesapeake School Public Relations Association (CHSPRA) communications contest, where Culpeper County Public Schools received an award in the electronic category for its e-newsletter, CCPS News. The newsletter, which is distributed weekly to employees, showcases school achievements and important information.

Finally, the board honored the Teachers of the Year from all Culpeper County public schools. Each nominated teacher received a CCPS tumbler filled with goodies and a $500 classroom supply grant. The district winner will receive an additional $500 and a special award.
