The Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District (ECISD) held a special called board meeting on June 9, 2025, where significant achievements of local students were celebrated. Edinburgh High School also had its share of accolades, with Kenya Acosta qualifying for the state competition in feature writing. Principal Dominic Bea and ASP coordinator Daniel Lara were present to support the students.
Furthermore, Edinburgh North High School was celebrated as the UIL 3168 region 4 academic sweepstakes champions, with multiple students and teams qualifying for state competitions in various subjects, including accounting and mathematics. The achievements of students like Louisa Gilat and David Rodriguez were highlighted, along with individual recognitions in science and literary criticism.
