The Puerto Rico Legislature convened on June 12, 2025, to approve a series of motions celebrating significant achievements and milestones within the community. The meeting highlighted a collective effort to recognize individuals and organizations contributing positively to Puerto Rican society.

Among the notable motions approved was one presented by José Angiménez, honoring Otilio Martínez Otero and Ángel Alvarado Rojas in recognition of Father's Day. Additionally, President Carlos Johnny Méndez introduced motions to congratulate the International Chaplain Academy for its nomination for the Ismael Ponce award, as well as Edwin González and the entire staff of the Highway Authority on the occasion of their 60th anniversary. In a show of solidarity, the legislature unanimously supported a motion for the swift recovery of Luci Arce, a respected former senator currently convalescing. This gesture underscored the camaraderie and support among legislators for their peers and constituents.
