Orange Council approves amendment for Pinecrest Residential Project development agreement

Orange Village Council convened on June 11, 2025, to discuss several key initiatives aimed at enhancing community services and infrastructure. A significant highlight of the meeting was the public hearing regarding Ordinance 2025-11, which, if approved, would allow the mayor to execute an amendment to the Pinecrest Residential Project development agreement. This amendment is designed to ensure that the project adheres to the village's zoning code while also implementing additional quality standards for the development.

The council also confirmed the reappointment of Mitchell Tikhonnen as a part-time firefighter paramedic. Tikhonnen, who previously left the department to pursue a coaching position, expressed his desire to return after realizing he could manage both roles effectively. This contract is expected to provide more stable pricing and budgeting for the village's electric utilities, following a thorough review that indicated it offered the best pricing compared to alternatives.

The council also approved the treasurer's reports for March and April 2025, ensuring transparency and accountability in the village's financial management.
