Oceanside Board of Education awards scholarships to standout students Brian Tirado and Samantha Friedman

During the meeting, the board presented a $500 scholarship to Brian Tirado, a dedicated student and athlete known for his exceptional character and resilience. Jamie Michak also received a $1,250 scholarship, acknowledging her dedication and leadership as she prepares to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Four members received accolades from the New York State School Boards Association, including Laura Lisi for board mastery and Sandy Scholl and Seth Blau for lifetime achievement awards.
