Board honors Doctor Jason Foos and students from All State boys soccer team

The Sweetwater County School District 2 Board Meeting held on June 10, 2025, celebrated significant contributions to the district and recognized outstanding student athletes.

The meeting began with heartfelt farewells to Dr. Jason Foos and Craig, both of whom have dedicated years of service to the district. Board members expressed their gratitude for their leadership and impact on students, staff, and parents, presenting tokens of appreciation to both individuals.

Following the acknowledgments, the board recognized the achievements of the All State boys soccer team. Assistant coach Tina Rodriguez highlighted the hard work and dedication of the players during a challenging season. Despite moving up to a more competitive league, the team excelled, with nine players receiving conference honors. Braxton Doak was named to the All State second team, while Gavin Maras and Aiden Morris received honorable mentions.

Rodriguez expressed pride in the athletes, emphasizing the importance of supporting their endeavors both on and off the field. She also noted her hope to continue her involvement with the boys' soccer program in the future.
