Chester County HR streamlines recruitment and launches employee wellness initiatives

The Human Resources office has implemented a new call recruiting module, ensuring that all job openings within Chester County government are now posted through this system. Candidates are required to apply online for available positions. To assist those without internet access, a kiosk has been installed in the Human Resources office, where staff will provide support to applicants navigating the online application process. Additionally, all job descriptions have been scanned and uploaded into the recruiting module, allowing automatic postings to the Chester County website as well as popular job platforms like Indeed, Glassdoor, and ZipRecruiter.

Beyond recruitment, the Human Resources office is committed to employee development and well-being. They offer physical driving courses and CPR training to all employees, equipping them with essential skills beneficial for both work and personal life. A leadership team-building training session is scheduled for September 19, facilitated by Symantra Carter of Bight House Leadership Academy. This training will focus on enhancing public speaking and communication skills, managing burnout, and improving work-life balance and time management for directors and supervisors.

Several upcoming events were also announced to support and celebrate employees. On September 27, Chester County will host an Employee Family Fun Day, providing a relaxing appreciation day for staff and their families. An Employee Health Fair is set for October 10, offering wellness resources and screenings. Additionally, a free biometric health screening will be available on October 14, with registration details communicated via email.
