City staff selects builders for vacant residential lots in Zinga

Tri Power LLC has been selected to develop a property at 470 Fifth East Church Street for $1,000. GC Custom Homes will take on three properties: 536 East Second Street for $5,001, 5 Jackson Street for $3,000, and 607 South Monroe Street for $3,000. Additionally, Emery Builders will develop two properties at 476 East Second Street and 66 East Second Street, each priced at $10,000.

Council members expressed enthusiasm about the influx of builders and the revitalization of neighborhoods that had seen little investment in recent years. Councilman Crops noted the positive community response to new homes being built, particularly in areas like West Second Street, where construction is already underway.
