A new micro hospital is set to transform healthcare access in Prescott Valley, following a unanimous approval from the Town Council during their regular meeting on June 12, 2025. Asura Medical's proposed facility, located at 12125 East State Route 69, will feature 15,000 square feet of medical space, including eight emergency beds, four inpatient beds, and a CT scan suite.

The decision comes in response to a growing demand for medical services in the area, highlighted by over 54,000 visits to Dignity Health from residents in nearby communities last year. The 2024 community survey also indicated that attracting healthcare providers was a top priority for local citizens.

Asura Medical's leadership emphasized their commitment to quality care, with a structure led by clinicians rather than a management group. This approach aims to create a more patient-centered environment. The facility is designed to maximize patient throughput, converting urgent care beds to emergency beds during peak hours.

Construction is expected to begin shortly after final approvals, with the team ready to break ground as soon as plans are finalized. The council's approval marks a significant step towards enhancing healthcare options in Prescott Valley, addressing a critical community need.
