Wolfeboro Police Department moves to full strength with upcoming officer additions

The Wolfeboro Police Department is making significant strides toward full operational capacity, with hopes to reach full strength by the end of the year. During the recent Police Commission meeting, it was reported that the department is currently under budget, allowing for continued improvements and expansions.

The department has recently moved into a new building, with staff actively transitioning their equipment and workspaces. Chief of Police noted the exceptional support from CCI and various subcontractors during this process, highlighting the efforts of his executive assistant, Sherry, who has been instrumental in coordinating the move.

In personnel updates, Officers Greco and Weed are set to graduate from the police academy on August 22, and the department looks forward to welcoming them to the team. Additionally, Captain Libby is pursuing accreditation training, which will enhance the department's capabilities in maintaining high standards.

Drone training is also underway, with several officers expressing interest in participating. The department is collaborating with local residents who hold pilot licenses to assist in this initiative, aiming to utilize drones for various operational needs.
