The council discussed a special use permit for a local establishment, Still on the Rocks, which seeks to expand its outdoor seating and adjust its operating hours.

Council members expressed strong support for increasing outdoor dining opportunities, with several noting that residents desire more places to eat outside. Council member Wishing emphasized the importance of outdoor seating, stating, "The more outdoor seating, the better, in my opinion." The discussion also included considerations for aligning the operating hours of Still on the Rocks with those of nearby establishments, particularly Layman's Landing. The applicant, Sentria Weekly, clarified that the kitchen at Still on the Rocks closes at 12:30 AM from Monday to Saturday and at 11:30 PM on Sundays. Weekly highlighted the importance of outdoor seating for customers who enjoy dining outside, especially during pleasant weather.

Safety concerns were also addressed during the meeting. Weekly assured the council that security measures are in place, including two security guards who monitor the premises and ensure that patrons leave after closing hours.
