Commissioners approve agreement for four charging stations at Woodlawn Parking Garage

Saratoga Springs City Council has taken a significant step towards enhancing electric vehicle infrastructure by approving an agreement for the installation of four charging stations in the Woodlawn Parking Garage. During the pre-agenda meeting on June 16, 2025, the council voted to authorize Mayor Stafford to sign the agreement with Plug In Stations, amounting to $21,464. This initiative includes two dual-port chargers, one located on Level 1 and another on the bottom level, designated for fleet use.

The decision reflects the city’s commitment to promoting sustainable transportation options and improving accessibility for electric vehicle users. The installation of these charging stations is expected to encourage more residents and visitors to consider electric vehicles, aligning with broader environmental goals.

In addition to the charging station agreement, the council discussed the upcoming agenda, which includes a presentation on the Department of Public Works (DPW) Garage, scheduled for the following day. However, there will be no public hearings or additional presentations during that meeting.
