Resident Craig Carmel described geological concerns he said stem from long-standing springs and slope movement on the hill. “That hill is full of water… Any disturbance on the top of that hill, especially the removal of the natural foliage would just be disastrous,” Carmel said. Thomas Taylor, another resident, urged better liaison between the city, the property owner and neighborhood representatives so residents can observe or be copied on meetings with the owner, which he said would reduce confusion.
