McKinney plans Make Music Day events and influencer tour in June

The McKinney Economic Development Corporation held a meeting on June 17, 2025, where several community-focused events and initiatives were discussed, highlighting the city's commitment to cultural engagement and economic growth.

One of the key announcements was the celebration of Make Music Day on June 21, which aims to promote McKinney's designation as a music-friendly destination. On June 28, the city will host its second influencer fan tour, inviting around 30 social media influencers to experience downtown McKinney. This initiative aims to generate buzz and attract visitors by showcasing local businesses and attractions through curated experiences.

The meeting also touched on the success of the Texas Revolution music event, which reportedly generated around 20 room nights for local hotels, primarily from artists and guests. Additionally, the McKinney community can look forward to several upcoming events, including three home games for the local sports team, with one themed night inspired by the popular show "Ted Lasso."
