City Manager reports progress on Oak Hill Bridge repair during budget update

The City Manager confirmed that design work is progressing, and the project is set to go out to bid soon. With 91% of the fiscal year completed, expenditures are at 87% of the budgeted amount. The report highlighted that the city is expected to meet its target for earned interest, projecting $2.2 million by the end of the fiscal year, which is an increase from the initial estimate of $1.4 million.

Council members also took a moment to acknowledge the upcoming Juneteenth holiday, celebrating the recent community event at Petersburg High School, which saw a strong turnout despite inclement weather.
