Lake City outlines Waste Pro guidelines for yard waste and debris management

Dee Johnson, Assistant City Manager for Lake City, FL, laid out essential guidelines for residents regarding yard waste and debris management during a recent government meeting. The city is emphasizing clear rules to ensure efficient waste collection and environmental responsibility.

Yard waste piles must adhere to strict dimensions, not exceeding 4 feet in height, 4 feet in width, and 8 feet in length. Additionally, limbs should be no longer than 6 feet and no thicker than 6 inches in diameter, with individual items capped at 40 pounds. Organic materials like grass clippings and leaves must be bagged or placed in containers, and it is crucial that trash and yard waste are kept separate for proper pickup.
