Tourism Team receives 5 awards at Texas Municipal Officers event

During the recent Little Elm Town Council meeting on June 17, 2025, the spotlight was on the Tourism and Communications Department, which received significant recognition for its achievements. The department was honored with five awards from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO), highlighting its effective communication and event planning efforts.

The awards were presented following a competitive selection process that included 780 submissions from various municipalities. Notably, the department secured first place for its "Nightmare over Little Elm Park," marking its second consecutive win in the category of Best One-Time Event. Additionally, the department earned first place for the Best Reoccurring Event with its "Brewing Q," also a first-time winner in this category.

Other accolades included a second-place award for the Best Flyer, specifically for the "L U E D E recruitment flyer," and a third-place recognition for the Best New Logo with the "Big E." The department also received a third-place award for the Best Unplanned Campaign with the "Pound with Flick Attitude Snowman" initiative.
