Mayor Rest proclaims Flaming Gorge Days June 27-28 in Green River Wyoming

The festivities will kick off on Friday, January 27, and continue through Saturday, January 28, featuring a variety of activities designed to engage all ages. Highlights include a rock concert on Expedition Island, a festive heroes-themed parade, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, a horseshoe competition, and an exhilarating car show. Local artisans will showcase their crafts, and food vendors will offer a range of delicious options, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

In a bid to keep the event accessible, organizers have sought sponsorships beyond city funding, emphasizing the importance of community support. Mayor Rest acknowledged the invaluable partnership between the city and local supporters, crediting the hard work of city employees and the unwavering backing of the council for making the event possible.

The parade will commence on Saturday, June 28, with staging set to begin at 8:30 AM at the Lincoln School parking lot. Participants will march down Shoshone Avenue, Uinta Drive, and East Second South, culminating in a vibrant celebration. The car show will follow at Evers Park, starting at 11 AM, with vehicle registration available at the Green River Fire Department.
