Bonita Springs officials detail hurricane preparedness and new public safety center operations

The City of Bonita Springs is enhancing its emergency preparedness as officials reported significant advancements during the city council meeting on June 18, 2025. A key highlight was the operationalization of the newly expanded Public Safety Center, which now includes a 37,000 square foot addition to the emergency operation center. This facility will house essential emergency operations, public safety administration, and a consolidated communication center for various agencies, including the sheriff's office and local police departments.
