The average stay at Serenity House is between six to eight weeks, during which clients engage in a 12-step recovery model aimed at fostering long-term sobriety and personal transformation.

Dr. Christy Sellers, the director of behavioral health at Central Peninsula Hospital, introduced key staff members who have contributed to the center's success. This included Cindy Tennyson, the rehab nurse, and Jody Acimakopoulos, the program manager, among others. Their collective experience and commitment to recovery were highlighted as vital components of Serenity House's operations.

In addition to the resolution honoring Serenity House, the assembly also received a legislative update from Senator Bjorkman, who provided insights into recent developments in Juneau that could impact the borough. The senator's presentation aimed to keep assembly members informed about legislative matters relevant to their community.
