A proposed RV park in Graham County is generating excitement as local developer Neil Brooks outlines plans for a picturesque site that could address the area's housing demand. During a recent Graham County Planning and Zoning meeting, Brooks shared his vision for transforming 459 acres of family-owned land into a beautifully landscaped RV park, reminiscent of Flagstaff and Prescott.
Brooks emphasized the need for additional RV accommodations in Safford, noting that existing parks are fully booked. He plans to utilize 30 acres for the initial phase, with potential amenities like a swimming pool, depending on community interest. "This is just step one," he stated, highlighting the importance of conducting a market study to gauge demand.

Brooks acknowledged the need to properly locate and survey the easement to ensure it does not interfere with the park's development. He reassured attendees that he has ample water resources for the project, with plans to incorporate natural septic solutions.
Brooks aims to create a shaded, inviting environment by relocating approximately 600 mature pine trees to enhance the park's aesthetic appeal. He believes this project could not only beautify the area but also provide affordable housing options for residents.
As the project progresses, Brooks is committed to addressing community concerns and ensuring that the development aligns with local needs. The next steps include finalizing site plans and conducting further surveys, with the hope of bringing this vision to fruition in the near future.
