Roselle Park honors Jeffrey Luna with new scholarship at graduation ceremony

A heartfelt tribute to a beloved student marked the Roselle Park Board of Education meeting on June 17, 2025, as the creation of the Jeffrey Luna Scholarship was announced. This scholarship honors Jeffrey Luna, a remarkable young man who tragically lost his battle with cancer just before what would have been his high school graduation.

During the meeting, a representative from the Roselle Park Soccer Club expressed deep gratitude for the support from the school district and highlighted the scholarship's significance. "Tomorrow at graduation, one male and one female senior who played high school soccer and embodied qualities of character, dedication, integrity, and empathy will be awarded the scholarship," they stated, emphasizing the values that Jeffrey represented.
