Norwood Planning Commission endorses PUD expansion at 4500 Beech Street

The Norwood Planning Commission has taken a significant step towards enhancing local business opportunities by endorsing a zoning expansion request during their meeting on June 19, 2025. The commission voted to recommend to the city council the expansion of the existing 2.839-acre neighborhood business zoning district to include an additional 0.125 acres at 2741 Robertson Avenue. This decision aims to facilitate the development of a planned unit development (PUD) at the site, which is located south of Robertson Avenue.

The motion, put forth by a commission member and seconded by another, received a majority approval with a vote of 4 to 1.
