Ginger noted that the EMS program was initiated after discussions with county legislators and has received support from the county for startup funding.

Additionally, BOCES is planning to launch an adult cosmetology program in Lewis County this fall, marking the first of its kind in the area. There are also plans to expand into electrical wiring and construction training, addressing the local workforce shortage by providing certification and training opportunities for adults.

The meeting concluded with Ginger expressing optimism about the future of BOCES programs in Lewis County, emphasizing the importance of engaging youth in high-demand careers to foster economic development in the region.
