Bullhead City promotes Rotary Park as premier sports and recreational destination

Rotary Park in Bullhead City is stepping into the spotlight as the premier outdoor sports destination, boasting an impressive array of facilities and amenities for both locals and visitors. With over 300 acres of space, the park features six softball fields, a baseball field, a football field, and eight lighted pickleball courts, among other sports facilities. This makes it a hub for sports tourism, hosting numerous tournaments throughout the year, including two annual AYSO soccer tournaments and three pickleball tournaments.

John Trequato from the city's wastewater division also addressed a critical issue during the meeting, urging residents to be mindful of what they dispose of in the sewer system. He emphasized that only human waste, toilet paper, and gray water should be flushed, warning that improper disposal of items like wipes and plastic can lead to costly sewer backups, potentially costing taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars.

In addition to its sports offerings, Rotary Park provides a beautiful setting along the Colorado River, featuring over a mile of free public beaches, a boat dock, and a fishing jetty. The park is open daily from 4:30 AM to 11 PM, making it an accessible destination for outdoor enthusiasts year-round.

As Bullhead City continues to grow, Mayor Tom Brady highlighted the city's appeal as a recreational playground, inviting residents and visitors alike to explore its natural beauty and vibrant community events. With a focus on enhancing recreational opportunities and maintaining the city's infrastructure, the Parks and Recreation Commission is committed to making Bullhead City a top destination for sports and leisure activities.
