San Gabriel City Council approves contract for LAZ Parking micro transit services

San Gabriel City Council has taken a significant step towards enhancing local transportation services by approving a contract with LAZ Parking California LLC to operate the RightSG micro transit service. This decision, made during the council's regular meeting on June 17, 2025, is expected to streamline operations and improve service delivery for residents and visitors.

The council allocated $858,890 for the fiscal year 2025-2026 specifically for transportation services, funded through Proposition C. The contract with LAZ Parking is valued at $817,258 for the first year, resulting in a budget savings of $41,632. This partnership aims to maintain the existing Bridal SG app, ensuring that users will experience no changes in how they access services. The transition will occur behind the scenes, with LAZ Parking and Rideco managing the backend operations.
