Chelsea City Council endorses primary care physicians' unionization at Mass General Brigham

The Chelsea City Council has taken a significant step in supporting local healthcare workers by passing a resolution in favor of the Mass General Brigham Primary Care Physician Union. This resolution, introduced by Councilor Jimenez Rivera, acknowledges the crucial role that primary care physicians play in the health and well-being of Chelsea residents, particularly in light of ongoing public health challenges.

The resolution highlights that 88% of the nearly 250 primary care physicians at Mass General Brigham, including a majority at the Mass General Chelsea Clinic, voted to unionize with SEIU Local 10 MD.
