Plainview Building Services reports growth in new businesses and construction permits

However, the city has seen a notable number of residential additions and remodels, indicating ongoing investment in existing homes.

The council also addressed the issue of minimum housing standards, focusing on the need to address dilapidated properties. The city is actively working to identify and remediate dangerous structures, with 14 cases addressed so far this year. The process includes notifying property owners of violations and providing them with opportunities to rectify issues before any demolition actions are taken.
