Prairie Pals named Oswego Economic Development Commission's Business of the Month for June

The Oswego Village Board meeting on June 24, 2025, celebrated Prairie Pals as the Economic Development Commission's Business of the Month. This recognition highlights the preschool and child care center's significant contributions to the local community over its nearly 23 years of operation.

Prairie Pals, directed by Leslie Kennedy, has expanded from four classrooms to ten, now operating in a dedicated 12,000 square foot facility located at 33 Stonehill Road. The organization serves children aged 2 to 5 through its preschool program and offers child care for infants as young as six weeks. As a not-for-profit entity under the Oswego Christian Foundation, Prairie Pals has positively impacted thousands of families in the area.

The center has fostered strong ties with local businesses, engaging in mutual sponsorships and supporting community events. Notable collaborations include partnerships with Floral Expressions, Imagination Print and Design, and The Village Grind. Additionally, Prairie Pals works closely with the Oswego Public Library District and Oswego School District 308 to keep families informed about local activities.

During the meeting, representatives from Prairie Pals expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the dedication of their staff and volunteers. They look forward to continuing their service to the Oswego community for many more years.
