Tacoma City Council finalizes economic development strategy plan with arts integration

The Tacoma Economic Development Committee convened on June 24, 2025, for a pivotal work session focused on finalizing the city's economic development strategy for the next five years. Debbie Bingham, also from CED, noted that the focus area primarily supports collaboration with other organizations and departments rather than being solely CED-driven. The committee acknowledged the importance of protecting and promoting Tacoma's cultural assets, which play a vital role in the city's economic vitality.
