Library Board finalizes redesign plan for innovative adult area and community spaces

Additional enhancements discussed were new paint to brighten the library's interior, repairs to peeling wallpaper, and the acquisition of modern furniture to replace outdated items. The innovation center will feature upgraded technology, including smart boards, VR headsets, and 3D printers, aimed at fostering creativity and learning.

The meeting outlined a timeline for the project, with the design phase nearing completion and plans to go out to bid in August. Construction is expected to occur from September to May 2026, with efforts made to minimize library closures during this period. The project is scheduled for completion by June 2026, with a grand opening planned shortly thereafter.
