OCFA hosts water safety event at Station 82 in Garden Grove for families

The City of Garden Grove City Council meeting held on June 24, 2025, focused on community engagement and safety initiatives. The meeting began with a report on a recent water safety event hosted by the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) at Station 82. This event provided children with pledge certificates to promote water safety during the summer months. Following this, the council discussed a community cleanup event at Haster Basin Park, organized by a local group known as Arlo's Trash Force. The council expressed gratitude to Arlo and his family for their leadership in this impactful event.

Additionally, it was announced that Arlo had achieved first place in the State Civics Bee competition and would represent California at the national level in Washington, D.C., this November.
