Millbrae celebrates July 4 with live music food trucks and family activities at Central Park

The Millbrae City Council meeting on June 24, 2025, highlighted several exciting community events aimed at bringing residents together this summer.

One of the most anticipated events is the Fourth of July celebration at Central Park, starting at 11:30 AM and running until 3:30 PM. The festivities will feature live music from local favorites, the As Is Band, and Pure Ecstasy, known for their soulful Motown and R&B tunes. Council member Riley will kick off the event by singing the national anthem. Attendees can look forward to food trucks, games, and activities for children, along with shaded areas and water provided by the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). Last year’s event saw a large turnout, and organizers hope to attract even more participants this year.

Following the Fourth of July, the city will host an outdoor movie night on July 11, featuring the beloved film "Finding Nemo." The movie will begin at sunset, around 8:30 PM, and promises to be a delightful family-friendly event, complete with popcorn and a cozy atmosphere.

Additionally, the Millbrae Chamber of Commerce is set to hold its first business mixer since early 2019. Scheduled for tomorrow at 5:00 PM at Fiddlers Green, this mixer aims to foster connections among local businesses and community members, with city council members and staff in attendance.

These events reflect the city’s commitment to enhancing community engagement and providing enjoyable experiences for residents as summer heats up.
